Email signups and quiz answers

When you sign up, we save your email address, your selected interests and your consent choice. If you register through the quiz, we also save your household answers so you can return to your recommendation.

The signup record also includes the page and signup source, referring page where available, a browser-generated visitor identifier, browser information, country where available and an update time. These help identify where signups originate.

The quiz asks about age bands, devices and safety concerns, not children's names. Please do not include a child's name or other identifying details in your answers or messages.

Registering saves your recommendation; it does not currently send a recommendation email. Consent wording describes the occasional guides and offers you agree to receive, rather than confirming an email has been sent.

Saved results and browser storage

Quiz answers are saved in your browser so results can be reopened on the same device. When registered, saved answers can also be retrieved by entering the signup email. This is not a password-protected account: use a private device and an email address you control.

The site stores a visitor identifier in your browser to relate signups and affiliate clicks. Account sign-in also uses browser session storage. You can remove local quiz answers and identifiers by clearing this site's browser data; that does not delete records already submitted to us.

Contact messages and accounts

The contact form saves your name, email address, subject, message, originating page and browser information so your enquiry can be reviewed and answered. Sending an enquiry is separate from subscribing to guides or offers.

If you create an account for agent integrations, your email and sign-in details are handled by the site's authentication service. Connecting an agent requires a separate approval screen.

Affiliate links and analytics

We record clicks on tracked partner links, including the merchant, destination, link identifier, originating page, referring page, visitor identifier, browser information and country where available. This helps show which pages and partners attract interest.

Google Analytics, when enabled, receives site activity and signup or affiliate-click events. These event messages do not include the email entered in the signup form. Google Fonts is used to load the site's typefaces, which requires requests to Google.

Following a partner link takes you to another website. Some partner links include affiliate-network tracking information; the merchant or affiliate network may use its own tracking under its own privacy and cookie notices. Read our affiliate funding disclosure.

Storage, choices and privacy requests

Submitted signups, quiz answers, contact messages and affiliate-click records are stored using Lovable Cloud. This notice does not promise a fixed deletion period or a particular storage country.

To request access, correction or deletion of information you submitted, or to withdraw email consent, use the contact form with the subject “Privacy request”. Include the email used for the submission, but do not send passwords or identity documents. We may need to verify the request before acting.

You can view quiz results without registering by choosing “Skip and see my recommendation”. Clearing browser data removes local results; contact us separately about submitted records. You can also raise data-protection concerns with the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
